Betty Fedora
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
All contributors to the print issue will receive one copy of the magazine.
FICTION
Betty Fedora is looking for short stories between 1000 and 6000 words. A little over or under is okay, but please, no novellas. Any genre under the crime fiction umbrella is cool: mystery, suspense, thriller, noir, procedural, you know the drill. Make it awesomely fresh, entertaining, eye-opening. It goes without saying that all stories must feature kickass women (protagonist or otherwise).
REVIEWS
We welcome in-depth reviews of up to 2000 words for the print issue. Feminist readings of any title, new or old. Query first, if you like. Succinct reviews of new titles can be submitted for publication on BettyFedora.com (see below for more info).
ESSAYS & NON-FICTION FEATURES
Want to examine the role of women in Sherlock Holmes stories? Or maybe compare the movie versions of female characters to their printed counterparts? Have fun, and make us think. Interviews, biographical sketches, and event profiles can fit here.
